I start things, and I finish them.
Four ventures since 2022 — a clothing brand I ran to $10,000 in revenue, a website services business I still operate, and two products built for painting contractors. I study finance because I want to understand why businesses actually work, not just how to start one.

What I've built and what I'm building
Some of these made money, some are still early, and one is a physical product waiting on its first mold. All of them taught me something I couldn't have read.

Jun 2025 — now
SharpenIdea
Website services · OperatingSharpenIdea is mine end to end — I designed and built the platform, and I run it as a subscription: businesses pay monthly for the build and the upkeep that follows it, rather than once for a site that goes stale. That structure is deliberate. It's recurring revenue, and it keeps me close to how each client's business is actually doing. I handle the marketing myself too, across X, Instagram, and TikTok. There's a free demo if you'd rather see the work than read about it.

In development
PaintersHQ
AI + AR software · BuildingAn all-in-one platform for painting contractors, built on custom augmented reality. A painter scans a room and gets back exactly how much paint the job needs — over-ordering is money most shops never count. The same scan tracks supplies room by room, and the rest of the software runs the business: invoicing clients by email, paying employees, tracking jobs in progress. There's a homeowner side too — photograph a room, see it rendered in a new color by AI, send it over, and I match you with the paint company best suited to the job. An app developer is building it, a patent attorney is filing on it, and I'm in market validation now, talking to the contractors who'd use it.

In tooling
Painter's Pocket
Physical product · Patent filingA paint holder that connects to your belt, so a painter goes up a ladder with the paint and the brush on their hip and both hands on the rungs — which is what keeps it OSHA-compliant. A magnet holds the brush; swappable inserts let you change paint colors without changing the rig. This one came first, and PaintersHQ grew out of it. I walked the floor at an injection molding facility in Greensboro, had the CAD files reworked for tooling, and I'm waiting on a mold quote to cut the first one and start running prototypes.

TheHarmony888
E-commerce clothing · ClosedMy first real business, started at seventeen while I was still in high school. I found a manufacturer the slow way — ordering samples and testing the quality myself, three rounds of it before I committed. One run of mesh shorts, then two bulk tracksuit orders. $10,000 in sales over the first two years, with people across Massachusetts and a few other states wearing and posting it. I learned margins and acquisition cost by watching my own money move, which is a harder and better teacher than a textbook. The site is down; the Instagram is still up.

NextGenExit
Accelerator cohortI'm in the cohort at NextGenExit, a business accelerator and incubator. They handle my patent work and back the businesses across the whole arc — market validation, development, build. The other founders are the part I didn't expect to matter as much as it does: being able to put a product decision in front of people at the same stage shaped the early version of Painter's Pocket more than anything else did.
What I bring to a project
-
01
I ship, then I maintain
Plenty of people can put up a website. Fewer stay accountable for it six months later. I handle the full lifecycle — scoping, build, launch, and ongoing changes — so the site keeps working as the business changes around it.

02
I read a P&L before I read a design brief
Running my own business taught me to ask what a project needs to earn back before asking what it should look like. Margins, acquisition cost, retention — I've tracked all three on my own money, and it changes how I scope work.

I've sat on the client side of a relationship business
My internship at Raymond James put me inside an advisory practice — 562 client accounts, meeting coordination, account review. I saw how much of a professional services business is just follow-through, done consistently, for years.
The finance side
I'm a finance major with a minor in Sales and a Business Fellow at High Point University, graduating in 2028, and I spent this summer in wealth management at Raymond James.
Raymond James, summer 2026
Maintained records across 562 client accounts, coordinated meetings, and reviewed brokerage, retirement, and managed account structures.
Business Fellow
Selected for academic achievement and commitment to business leadership development. 3.7 GPA, Dean's List three semesters running.
Case study lead
Led a team analyzing the operational challenges of a real company — delegated roles, organized the work, and coordinated the analysis.
